Suspect in attempted rape, homicide arrested

BUTUAN CTY, Philippines — The suspect in the attempted rape and killing of a 21-year-old woman here has been arrested, police said.

Valeriano Timtim, 49, married and a neighbor of the victim, was arrested by the police following the alleged homicide and attempted rape on Thursday.

Timtim is detained at the Police Station 4.
