Dead puppy dumped in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippines — The corpse of a puppy surprised police officers who responded to a report of a suspicious-looking package left on the street in Quezon City on Thursday.

Personnel from the Quezon City Police District’s explosives and ordnance division were called in after a bystander found rice sack wrapped with tape along Metom street in Barangay Commonwealth at around 9 a.m.

The sack contained a dead puppy wrapped in pieces of cloth, police said.
