Non Alquitran - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — A 68-year-old man was arrested for kicking a car and firing his gun at the height of a quarrel over parking space in Marikina City Sunday.

Santos Vitalicio is facing charges of malicious mischief, alarm and scandal and illegal possession of firearms, said Senior Superintendent Bernabe Balba, Eastern Police District director.

Initial investigation showed that Vitalicio and complainant Lenon Jake Barbadillo, 24, had a heated argument over parking space in the Luz Cruz compound in Barangay Marikina Heights at around 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

Vitalicio reportedly kicked the door of Barbadillo’s car before going home and returning to the scene with a .38 caliber Smith and Wesson revolver.

Witnesses told police Vitalicio fired his gun into the air, apparently to scare Barbadillo. Residents reported the incident to police.

The handgun was seized from Vitalicio.
