Guard arrested for raping daughter
MANILA, Philippines — A 50-year-old security guard was arrested in Barangay Moonwalk, Parañaque City Friday afternoon after he allegedly raped his 17-year-old daughter, an official said yesterday.
The suspect was detained at the Parañaque City police station after his Grade 10 daughter filed a complaint against him, city police chief Senior Superintendent Victor Rosete said.
The suspect allegedly started molesting his daughter when she was 14 years old, especially when they were alone in their house, Rosete said.
“The victim said she was raped by her biological father since 2015 and the last incident transpired at around 2 a.m. on Sept. 6, inside their house,” Rosete said.
The suspect was charged with rape while his daughter was put in the custody of social workers.
