Overseas Filipino worker arrested for ‘sextortion’

MANILA, Philippines — An overseas Filipino worker was arrested by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in a sting at a hotel in Malate, Manila on Tuesday.

Brian Canama allegedly threatened his former girlfriend that he would spread their intimate videos if she refused to have sex with him before he left for the United States.

Canama and the woman dated for four months until she broke up with him because of his jealousy, according to earlier reports. 

Canama, in an interview with GMA News, admitted that he sent the sex video to the woman’s relatives and friends.

He said he sent the video to make her feel the way he felt when she broke up with him.
