Man found stuffed in drum in Tondo
MANILA, Philippines — The Manila Police District (MPD) is trying to determine the identity of a man who was found stuffed inside a drum and dumped in a creek in Tondo, Manila Wednesday morning.
Scavenger Edcel Decillo told police he was searching through garbage under the Estero de Vitas bridge when he found the drum at around 10:30 a.m., said homicide investigator Senior Police Officer 3 Jonathan Bautista.
The victim’s body was bloated, with his hands tied behind his back and his head covered in plastic, Bautista said.
He added that there were no visible physical injuries.
No one has stepped up to claim the body. Bautista said the only distinguishing mark on the victim was a tattoo indicating he was a member of the Bahala ng Gang.
