Reds fire at civilians; 1 hurt

ILOILO CITY  , Philippines  —  A woman was wounded when suspected New People’s Army (NPA) rebels fired at a group of private company employees in Igbaras, Iloilo on Wednesday.

Shella Mae Estevez, 28, safety officer of Century Peak Energy Corp.(CPEK), was hit in her right leg and was taken to the Pedro Trono Memorial Hospital in Guimbal town for treatment.

Estevez and four other CPEK employees were on their way to their office after inspecting a hydroelectric power project when the rebels opened fire.
