47 Pampanga barangays remain flooded

CLARK FREEPORT, Philippines  —   At least 47 barangays in Pampanga remain flooded due to heavy rains in the past several weeks.

The Pampanga Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) reported yesterday that the Caduang Tete Bridge in Macabebe, Dukma Bridge and Bahay Ari road in Candaba and San Jose Barrio Road in San Simon are still not passable to all types of vehicles.

The PDRRMO said 25 barangays in Macabebe and 15 in Masantol are still submerged in floodwater several feet deep. Three barangays in Minalin, two in Apalit and one each in Candaba and San Simon also remain flooded.

The PDRRMO said damage due to flooding was estimated at P191.6 million.
