MANILA, Philippines — At least 300 anti-drug operatives of the Manila Police District (MPD) underwent a surprise drug testing on Friday.

MPD director Chief Superintendent Rolando Anduyan said the move was part of the internal cleansing of 11 police stations under his turf.

The operatives gathered at the MPD multi-purpose hall prior to the drug testing.

Members of the MPD personnel and human resource development division and scene of the crime operatives headed by Chief Inspector Jesille Cui Baluyot conducted the drug tests.

No policeman tested positive for drugs, officials said.

Anduyan said those who were absent or on leave would undergo drug testing today.
