Fire breaks out in Parañaque

MANILA, Philippines — A fire broke out at a furniture shop in Parañaque City amid heavy downpour yesterday morning.

Arson probers said the fire that razed the EFG woodcraft shop spread to 10 other stalls and 15 houses along Dr. A. Santos Avenue in Barangay BF Homes at around 5:20 a.m.

Senior Inspector Wilson Tana of the Bureau of Fire Protection said at least P100,000 worth of property was destroyed by the fire.

No one was reported injured during the incident.

Firefighters put out the fire after two hours.

Authorities said they have yet to determine the cause of the fire.
