21 arrested for drugs, other violations

MANILA, Philippines — Police rounded up 21 people for violation of local ordinances and illegal drugs in Quezon City for the past two days.

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director Chief Supt. Joselito Esquivel Jr. said six of the suspects were caught yesterday.

Jobeth de Leon, 29, was first accosted for being shirtless while walking in Barangay Dona Imelda. When frisked, he reportedly yielded a sachet of shabu.

In Barangay Pinagkaisahan, 28-year-old Jomar Cobalida was arrested for possessing a sachet of shabu and a knife.

Four were arrested for possession of shabu and assorted drug paraphernalia in Barangay Pasong Tamo.

Meanwhile, 15 people were arrested during a drug session in Barangay San Antonio last Friday.
