Moderately strong quake jolts Aklan

MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 3.3 earthquake shook parts of Aklan yesterday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

The epicenter of the tremor, which occurred at about 9:47 a.m., was located eight kilometers northeast of Libertad town.

The quake was felt at Intensity 4, which is classified as moderately strong, in Nabas and Intensity 3 in Ibajay.

Phivolcs said no damage or aftershocks were expected from the quake.
