Armed men rob Parañaque café of P.1 million
MANILA, Philippines — The customers of a coffee shop in Parañaque City lost more than P140,000 in cash, gadgets and other valuables to three robbers on Tuesday night.
Around 15 diners were in the Hugot Café along Quirino Avenue when the robbers, all men carrying short firearms, barged inside and took their belongings, according to initial reports from the Southern Police District (SPD).
The men made off with around P141,699 in cash, gadgets and other items, including bags and wallets containing identification cards, from the victims.
A laptop and several cell phones were among the gadgets taken away by the still unidentified robbers, the SPD said.
