LPA spotted off Cagayan
MANILA, Philippines — A low-pressure area monitored off Cagayan has moved closer to the Philippine area of responsibility.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the weather system was located 1,095 kilometers east of Aparri as of yesterday afternoon.
PAGASA said the low-pressure area was not expected to develop into a tropical cyclone.
“Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains due to localized thunderstorms,” PAGASA said.
The state weather bureau said light to moderate winds would prevail over Luzon.
Coastal waters in Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao will be slight to moderate.
