LPA monitored off Cagayan
MANILA, Philippines — Rains are expected in parts of Luzon due to the southwest monsoon affecting the western section of Northern and Central Luzon, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.
PAGASA said it also monitored a low-pressure area 485 kilometers east of Tuguegarao, Cagayan.
“Ilocos, the Cordillera Administrative Region and the Batanes and Babuyan group of islands will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms because of the southwest monsoon,” the state weather bureau said in its advisory.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains to be brought by localized thunderstorms.
Coastal water in Luzon will be moderate to rough and slight to moderate in the rest of the country.
