Boy, 15, hacked to death by uncle in Nueva Vizcaya

TUGUEGARAO, Cagayan, Philippines — A 15-year-old student was hacked to death when he tried to save his 14-year-old sister from being raped by their uncle at their house in Barangay Bonfal Proper, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya on Tuesday.

The boy was pronounced dead on arrival at the Veterans Regional Hospital, where his sister was also brought for treatment of hack wounds.

Reports said the suspect barged into the room of the siblings at around 2 a.m.
