MANILA, Philippines — A man who stabbed dead his pregnant partner and her 10-year-old niece in Mandaluyong City has turned himself in to police in Camarines Norte.
Benjamin Pardines, 44, of Molino 2 in Bacoor, Cavite, surrendered to the Labo police on Saturday accompanied by his sister, retired military member Consuelo Pardines.
Pardines was tagged in the killing of Maria Rosula Paunil, 40, and her niece, whose bodies were recovered at a condominium unit in Barangay Ilaya on April 18, Mandaluyong police chief Senior Superintendent Moises Villaceran said.
Charges of murder and abortion have been filed against the suspect before the city prosecutor’s office.
