9 roads closed for repair in Metro Manila

Robertzon Ramirez - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Nine roads in Manila and Quezon City were temporarily closed to traffic since last night to allow for repairs by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

In an advisory, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said motorists should look for alternative routes until the roads are opened to traffic at 5 a.m. on Monday.

The DPWH is repairing the northbound lane of España Boulevard going to Quiapo in front of Ramon Magsaysay High School in Manila as well as the inner lanes of Quirino Highway near Mater Carmeli School and A. Bonifacio Avenue along Mabuan street in Quezon City.

The DPWH is also repairing various sections of EDSA in Quezon City: the second northbound lane from Vertis North to Trinoma Mall; second southbound lane from Samson College to P. Tuazon; and the third southbound lane from Eugenio Lopez street to Scout Borromeo street.

Another road under repair is the third northbound lane of Congressional Avenue fronting Business Bank to Mindanao Avenue.
