MANILA, Philippines — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) yesterday received a total of 100 body cameras from transport network company Grab.

Grab Philippines head Brian Cu turned over the gadgets to Danilo Lim and Jose Arturo Garica, chairman and general manager of the MMDA, respectively at the agency’s headquarters in Makati.

Garcia said the body cameras would help promote transparency when apprehending traffic violators.

He said the gadgets would be issued to MMDA enforcers manning traffic along EDSA and other chokepoints in Metro Manila.
