Drug war: 3 suspects slain; P1.7-million shabu seized in Bulacan
MANILA, Philippines — Three suspected drug personalities were killed in stings in Bulacan on Wednesday.
Robin Nogoy, 37, a resident of Barangay Real Cacarong, Pandi town; an alias Atong of Sta. Cruz, Guiguinto and a certain Amang of Cutcot, Pulilan drew their guns when they sensed they had sold shabu to undercover agents, police said.
Sachets of shabu, guns and marked money were reportedly recovered from the fatalities.
At least 27 other drug pushers were arrested in simultaneous anti-drug operations in Bulacan. They reportedly yielded 125 sachets of shabu.
Meanwhile, in Rizal, Lyka Camille Vera and Michelle Baylon were arrested at the Q Plaza parking lot in Barangay San Isidro, Cainta after selling shabu worth P500,000 to policemen who posed as buyers yesterday, according to Chief Superintendent Guillermo Eleazar, Calabarzon police director.
The suspects also yielded a bag weighing 250 grams of shabu worth P1.25 million and another bag of marijuana valued at P1.2 million.
Eleazar said the husbands of the suspects, who are detained at Camp Bagong Diwa, are members of a drug ring led by another inmate Antonio Cisneros.
Cisneros’ group is said to be a major supplier of illegal drugs in Metro Manila and nearby provinces. – Emmanuel Tupas, Non Alquitran, Ed Amoroso
