Robbery suspect killed in shootout in Cavite

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — A suspected robber who has yet to be identified was killed in an alleged encounter with police officers in Alfonso, Cavite yesterday.

The fatality was among four men who reportedly took the money, gadgets and other personal belongings of the guests at a resort in Barangay Amuyong at around 10:46 p.m.

Senior Superintendent William Segun, Cavite police director, said the shootout occurred when responding policemen chanced upon the suspects in Barangay Amuyong at around 3 a.m. The three other suspects escaped.  – Emmanuel Tupas
