More raps eyed vs dismissed Laguna cops
CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Five Laguna police officers who were been relieved from their posts for grave misconduct in connection with the robbery and extortion complaints filed against them face additional administrative charges.
Police Officer 2 John Morris Alicbusan, PO1s Glecerio Cruzen and Clayson Benabese and PO3s Troyluss Ambrocius Yldeso and Warren Ryan Carpena of the Sta. Rosa police intelligence unit will be charged with simple misconduct for leaving the provincial police office where they are being held, Senior Superintendent John Kirby Kraft, acting-Laguna police director, said yesterday.
Kraft said the police officers claimed they are no longer under the police command.
Meat trader Rommel de la Cruz and his wife Cristy said the police officers brought them to a slaughterhouse in Barangay Balibago. The suspects reportedly demanded P1 million in exchange for excluding them in anti-drug operations, but lowered the amount to P120,000.
