6 shot dead
MANILA, Philippines — Six persons, including two barangay officials, were slain in shootings in Luzon on Wednesday.
Unidentified men shot Romeo Gavino, chairman of Barangay Lapinig in Gubat, Sorsogon, and Leo Montero, 55, a watchman of Barangay Peña in San Jacinto, Masbate.
Angelo Custodio was driving his motorcycle with his partner when gunmen in an Isuzu Crosswind opened fire in Barangay Bagong Silang, Lumban, Laguna. The woman was injured when she fell from the motorcycle.
Rommel Lucenada was shot by five men who entered his house in Barangay Calicanto, Batangas City.
Paolo Oberes and Ruben Avendaño were shot in Barangay Tipacan, Lipa, Batangas and Talaba 2, Bacoor, Cavite, respectively.
