44 arrested for drugs in Metro Manila

MANILA, Philippines — At least 44 alleged pushers and users were arrested in Metro Manila in the past two days.

Nineteen were apprehended in Quezon City, 18 in Manila and seven in Makati.

In Quezon City, among those arrested in drug busts were Robert Cruz, 22; Bingo Arispe, 19; Melvin Tacuyan, 28; Alexis Baniqued, 29; Manuel Rimando, 43; Clifford Dingley, 42; Josefina Eugenio, 35; Raquel Nocum, 21, and Adelina Milan, 75.

Rick Gardose, 34; Zan Suguilon, 38; Alvin Orio, 42; Julvic Abong, 32, and Ronie Salandro, 52, were reportedly caught in a drug session.

In Manila, among those arrested in drug stings were Arnold Bautista, 30; John Ashley Inocencio, 18; Gerald Gallego, 18; Wilrhod Buenaflor, 21; Raymond Gubat, 33; Jhoan Dabucol, 29; Reynaldo Salgado, 31; Rolando Caabay, 42, and Ghent Khmer Reyes, 30.

In Makati, Justin Nero Sobria, 25; Angeles Oyco, 27; Michael Perez, 27; Michael Bragasin, 37; and Jona Sobria, 48, were arrested in a sting and at least P200,000 worth of shabu, a .32 caliber pistol and 21 bullets were reportedly seized from them.

Aristotle Penaranda, 41, and Joey Serito, 22, were arrested for illegal gambling and two sachets of shabu were seized from them. – Rey Galupo, Robertzon Ramirez
