Woman dies in fall from condo in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippines — A 32-year-old woman fell from the 18th floor of a condominium building in Quezon City on Monday in what probers are initially saying is a case of suicide.

Kristine Grace Obedoza, 32, died on the spot from severe injuries in the head and body.

The incident happened at around 1:45 p.m. at Victoria Tower D located along Mother Ignacio Avenue corner Scout Rallos street in Barangay Paligsahan.

The victim, a resident of Barangay East Fairview, went to the condominium and inquired with a receptionist about the price of a unit.

Obedoza was shown the model units. After she received a copy of the sample computation, the victim told the receptionist to leave her at the second floor as she wanted to take photographs.

The receptionist sought the help of her co-employees when she noticed Obedoza was already at the balcony ledge of the 18th floor.

The victim fell to the ground before employees reached the 18th floor.                                           

Police investigators are looking for leads on what may have prompted Obedoza to commit suicide.
