MANILA, Philippines — The car of actor Ejay Falcon figured in a hit-and-run accident in Pililla, Rizal last week.
Rafael Reyes, councilor of Tanay town, suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Falcon’s driver Alberto Oracion was charged with reckless imprudence resulting in physical injuries and damage to property. He was released on Friday after posting bail.
Chief Inspector Carlos Hogat, Pililla police chief, said Falcon was in the Toyota Grandia that Oracion was driving when it sideswiped Reyes’ black Honda Civic in Barangay Halayhayin at about 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
Oracion reportedly did not stop and drove on to Pagsanjan, Laguna, where Falcon attended a court hearing.
Police Officer 2 Rodel Payas said Oracion told probers he dozed off while driving due to lack of sleep, citing the actor’s taping schedule.
