Man drowns after saving daughter

SAN FABIAN, Pangasinan  , Philippines  —  A man died after saving his daughter from drowning during a family outing at a beach resort in Barangay Nibaliw Narvarte in this town on Friday.

Farmer Felipe Nisperos, 53, used a floating device to save his daughter Mary Rose, 14, but he was swept away by the strong current.

Nisperos was pronounced dead on arrival at the Medical Centrum Hospital.
