NPA officer surrenders in Zamboanga del Sur

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines  —  An officer of the New People’s Army (NPA) surrendered in Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur on Tuesday.

The surrenderee, who was identified only as Ka Jaypee, is a logistics officer of the NPA’s Western Mindanao Regional Party committee.

Lt. Col. Virgilio Hamos, 53rd Infantry Battalion commander, said Jaypee turned over his AK-47 rifle and ammunition.
