Barangay kagawad killed by motorcycle rider

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan, Philippines — A councilor of Barangay Aliwekwek here was gunned down by an unidentified motorcycle-riding gunman yesterday.

Chief Inspector Wilmer Pagaduan, deputy police chief, said victim Alfredo Desola Jr., 49, was driving his motorcycle to the public market when the incident happened.

His wife, Luisa, who was riding with him, was left unharmed.

Pagaduan said a task force was created to investigate the incident and determine the motive behind the attack.
