MANILA, Philippines — A restaurant inside Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 was hit by a burglary on Tuesday.

A yet to be identified thief took about P50,000 worth of cash and gadgets from Ka Tunying’s Cafe on the fourth floor of the airport. The money and valuables were taken from the store's cash register, cabinet and vault.

Radio reports said the theft was discovered by employees who opened the establishment early Tuesday. This was also confirmed by the Manila International Airport Authority General Manager Ed Monreal.

Airport police conducted investigation on the crime scene on Monreal's orders. They will also review CCTV footage of the shop to determine the identity of the suspect.
