2 bolt Pangasinan jail

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan, Philippines – Two inmates of the provincial jail here escaped after they were ordered to throw out the garbage yesterday morning.

One of the inmates, identified as Dennie Buen, 27, was recaptured at a market five minutes after escaping from the jail.

Authorities have yet to recapture the other fugitive, identified as Gender Arzadon.

Both inmates are facing drug charges.

Reports said jail officers assign detainees to dispose of the garbage.

Jail officials ensured they would tighten security measures to avoid a repeat of the incident.
