Suspected witch shot dead

MALOLOS, Philippines – A man suspected of witchcraft was shot dead in San Miguel, Bulacan on Thursday. 

Jaime Buenaventura, 74, a resident of Sitio Pinagpala Extension in Barangay Bulualto, was with his granddaughter in front of their house when a certain Cris Mateo and two unidentified men arrived and opened fire.

 A daughter of the victim told police that two of their neighbors accused her father of casting a spell on them that made them ill.
