Evelyn Macairan - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Bureau of Customs (BOC) recently seized an airplane providing chartered flights to various tourist destinations in the country for failing to pay around P10.4 million in taxes.

In a statement, James Layug, BOC special studies and projects development committee head, said they seized a BAE 146-100 model aircraft of Skyjet Airlines on March 29.

Skyjet Airlines is owned and operated by Magnum Air Inc.,  which was reportedly delisted from the Subic Bay Freeport list of locators and ceased operations in 2014.

Magnum Air Inc. was given 15 days to present the required documents.
