11-hour blackout in Pampanga

SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, Philippines – An 11-hour power outage will hit some parts of this province today, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) said yesterday.

The power interruption will pave the way for the repair of the Hermosa-Guagua 69-kiloVolt line and maintenance works of the Pampanga Electric Co. (PELCOII), according to Ernest Vidal, NGCP regional communications and public affairs officer.

The blackout will affect areas served by PELCOII and San Fernando Electric Co.-Floridablanca.

The NGCP said it would do everything to speed up the repair and restore power immediately.
