BI to deport 2 Korean fugitives

Evelyn Macairan - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Two Koreans wanted for defrauding their compatriots in business dealings are set to be deported by the Bureau of Immigration (BI), an official said yesterday.

Fugitives Lim Chae Beom, 63, and Son Dae Hyon, 45, were arrested in separate operations conducted recently by the bureau’s fugitive search unit, Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente said.

Morente said Beom and Hyon would be deported to Seoul to stand trial for large-scale fraud.

He said the Koreans would be blacklisted after the BI board of commissioners approved their summary deportation.
