Army truck hits motorbikes; 3 dead

CAMP OLIVAS, Philippines – A couple and their son were killed and two others were injured in a road accident in Barangay Rotrotooc in Mayantoc, Tarlac on Friday.

Senior Superintendent Ritchie Menardo Posadas, Tarlac police officer-in-charge, identified the fatalities as Edgar Callo, 39; his wife Elizabeth and son Cristian, residents of Barangay Caocayan. 

Oscar Agustin and Rezel Gamma were injured. 

Probers said a military truck driven by Sgt. Frederick Natividad, 45, was on its way to Camiling when it hit a motorcycle driven by Callo then collided with a tricycle driven by Agustin. 

The Calloses were pronounced dead on arrival at the Camiling District Hospital, where the injured were also taken for treatment. 

Natividad surrendered to responding policemen.
