Man stabbed dead by brod over P20 debt
MANILA, Philippines - A 46-year-old man died after his older brother stabbed him during an argument over his P20 debt in Valenzuela City Saturday night.
Rodolfo Blando had a fight with his brother, Renato, 48, in front of their house in Mayo Compound in Barangay Marulas shortly before midnight after Renato tried to collect on his debt, said Superintendent Reynaldo Medina, assistant city police chief. At the height of the argument, Rodolfo grabbed a piece of wood and hit his brother twice. Renato pulled out a fan knife and stabbed him once in the neck.
Rodolfo collapsed after trying to run away. Renato escaped and is now the subject of a manhunt, according to Medina.
