American dies in road mishap

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Philippines – An American man died in a road accident in San Fernando City in La Union on Friday. ?

Patrick Leo Mapherson, 55, a resident of Barangay Ili Sur in San Juan town, was crossing the highway at around 2 a.m. when he was hit by a GV Florida bus (TIF-125) driven by Igmedio Pascua Jr., 51.?

Mapherson was declared dead on arrival at the Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center. ?

Pascua surrendered to responding policemen.
