2 fishermen rescued off Palawan
Mijune Mahinay and Ronbee Matrizal, residents of Barangay Diapela in El Nido town, were rescued by a patrolling Navy supply ship on Tuesday, Capt. Lued Lincuna, Navy spokesman said yesterday.

MANILA, Philippines - Two fishermen have been rescued near the Malampaya gas field in Palawan, the Philippine Navy reported yesterday.

Mijune Mahinay and Ronbee Matrizal, residents of Barangay Diapela in El Nido town, were rescued by a patrolling Navy supply ship on Tuesday, Capt. Lued Lincuna, Navy spokesman said yesterday.

The fishermen said their boat drifted when it developed engine trouble due to big waves and strong winds.
