MANILA, Philippines - Two men and a woman were shot in separate attacks only minutes apart in Barangay Malanday, Marikina City Friday night.

Six men barged into a house in Marikina City Friday night and shot building painter Crisaldo Rubio, 46, and his partner Annie Bosis, 44, police said.

Rubio was declared dead on arrival at the Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center while Bosis was reported to be in serious condition at the same hospital.

Rubio and Bosis are both in Barangay Malanday’s drug watchlist, said Chief Superintendent Romulo Sapitula, Eastern Police District director.

Rubio and Bosis were resting in their home on Violet street when the six assailants, wearing bonnets and helmets, arrived on three motorcycles at past 8 p.m. and shot them, he said.

Neighbors rushed the victims to the hospital as the assailants escaped.

Several minutes prior to the attack, Romulo Andres, 42, was shot dead at the corner of Atis and Narra streets, in the same barangay.

Investigators have yet to determine whether the six assailants, each on a motorcycle, who shot Andres were the same ones who attacked Rubio and Bosis.
