Classes in Baguio City suspended on Thursday

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines – Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan has suspended classes on all levels on Thursday as Typhoon Lawin approaches Northern Luzon.

Baguio and Benguet were placed on Tropical Cyclone Warning Number 3 on Wednesday afternoon.

Signal Number 4 has been raised over Abra, Kalinga, Apayao, Ifugao and Mt. Province.

Mall developer SM will also shut down operations from 4 p.m. Wednesday because of the typhoon.

The six-storey SM mall in this city was drenched in rain and most of the shops had to shut down canopies were blown away by the strong winds.

Officials have also suspended classes in all levels in Mt. Province on Thursday and Friday.
