4 nabbed in Baguio drug sting

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines – Four alleged drug traffickers were arrested in a sting in a village here on Monday night.

Jayson Mendoza, Dan Allen Abellera, Oliver Signey and Allan Mallare were collared after they allegedly sold shabu to undercover agents along Asin Road here at around 9:30 p.m.

Seized from the suspects were a handgun, 10 plastic sachets said to contain shabu with an estimated value of P45,000 and drug paraphernalia.

Aside from drug cases, the suspects will be charged with illegal possession of firearms, according to Senior Superintendent Jimmy Catanes, chief of the regional Criminal Investigation and Detection Group.
