Boy, 10, hurt in air gun accident

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – A 10-year-old boy is fighting for his life at the Cagayan Valley Medical Center after he was hit in the forehead by a pellet from an air gun accidentally fired by his cousin in Naguilian, Isabela Wednesday night.

Gian Saludares was spending the holidays at his aunt’s house in Barangay Palattao when the accident occurred.

Saludares’ mother did not file a complaint against the victim’s cousin, town police chief Senior Inspector Edwin Castro said.
