BIFF attack leaves 2 dead, 3 wounded

NORTH COTABATO, Philippines– Two villagers were killed and three others were wounded as suspected members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters attacked military posts at the border of North Cotabato and Maguindanao provinces yesterday.

Rayhana Acmad and Kantoh Saluidasan and three others who were wounded were among the villagers who fled the scene when the bandits opened fire with B-40 anti-tank rockets.

The hostilities erupted in Barangay Kabasalan in Pikit town when the bandits attacked patrolling soldiers.
