Call center agent drowns

BACOLOD City, Philippines – A weekend team-building activity of call center agents turned tragic when one of them drowned at a resort in Murcia town, Negros Occidental last Saturday, police reported Wednesday.

Gwendolyn Dellera, 34, of Cebu City, was found Monday afternoon a few meters away from the Pandanon Valley Resort, a report from Bombo Radyo said.

Dellera was a team leader of Teleperformance’s Bacolod City branch.

Investigators said Dellera and a companion were swimming in the river when they were swept away by the current. The victims’ companions rushed to rescue them but Dellera drowned.
