3 gunmen in Bacoor shooting tagged in journalist’s slay
CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – The three gunmen who figured in a shooting in Bacoor City on April 13 were linked to the killing of a Cavite reporter, police said yesterday.
Cavite police director Senior Superintendent Joselito Esquivel said they have identified the gunmen who killed Rubylita Garcia on April 5, but they are waiting for the victim’s daughter and two witnesses to identify the suspects.
Esquivel said Alex Leonil, Tammy Gatil alias Marcial and a certain alias Pogi reportedly shot dead Alberto Espuerta, 54, in Barangay Talaba 2, Bacoor City. Two others were wounded in the attack.
Esquivel said they have launched a manhunt for the suspects.
“We have completed the documents for the filing of murder charges against the killers of Garcia,†he said.
