Bebot Sison Jr., Cecille Suerte Felipe - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Three policemen from a Zamboanga del Norte town were dismissed from the police service while six others are in hot water for drug-related offenses, according to the Philippine National Police (PNP).

Chief Superintendent Napoleon Estilles, director of PNP Western Mindanao, did not identify the dismissed policemen and those under investigation, who all belong to the Siocon municipal police.

Estilles said the three dismissed policemen underwent drug test and were found positive for using illegal drugs.

Estilles also ordered the relief of Senior Inspector Khisna Asaali, Siocon police chief, based on the doctrine of command responsibility.

He also directed the 45 other police personnel of Siocon town to undergo retraining at Camp Abendan in Zamboanga City.
