Bataoil heads Northern Luzon Directorate for Integrated Police Operations

La Trinidad, Benguet , Philippines – Chief Superintendent Leopoldo Bataoil was designated as head of a Northern Luzon police “super body” that will check on terrorism, insurgency, illegal drugs, gambling and other concerns.

The Directorate for Integrated Police Operations (DIPO) in Northern Luzon was activated on Tuesday afternoon at the PNP-Cordillera headquarters by PNP chief Director General Jesus Versoza.

Bataoil, who hails from Pangasinan, was former chief of the National Capital Region Police Office.

Other DIPOs have been set up in Eastern and Western Mindanao and the Visayas.     – Artemio Dumlao
