It’s ‘Pagduaw’in Samar today

CATBALOGAN, Samar — Today, the province marks the 160th anniversary of the issuance of the Royal Decree of Queen Isabela II of Spain which declared Samar a new and distinct military province, with its own military governor, separate from the provinces of Leyte and Cebu.

Today’s commemoration focuses on "Pagduaw," which organizers define as "strengthening of what is and what will be the future" of the province.

This year’s theme is "Pagsaurog, Paglipay, Pagrayhak mga Samarnon (Celebrate, Enjoy and Rejoice Samarnons)." — Ricky Bautista
