A free car for a good doer
Phoenix Petroleum AVP for brand and marketing Celina Matias hands over the key to a brand-new Suzuki Ertiga to Pinoy Tsuper Hero Season 3 winner Alberto Abad on Sept. 27 at Phoenix Sumulong, Antipolo City, Rizal. With them are Abad’s family, Phoenix Sumulong dealer Enrico Villanueva, and other officials from Phoenix Petroleum, ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation, and Bayan Academy.

Three years ago multibusiness tycoon and Phoenix Petroleum president and CEO Dennis Uy conceived an advocacy campaign that aims to bring out the “super hero” in every driver and promote driving as a noble profession. Furthermore, it recognizes and empowers outstanding Filipino drivers who make a big difference in the community, exemplify discipline on the road, and help protect the environment.

The Pinoy Tsuper Hero, which is now on its Third Season is a collaborative advocacy campaign of Phoenix Petroleum, ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation, and Bayan Academy. In its annual nationwide search candidates are rated based on a driver’s responsibility in taking care of the environment, of the vehicle, infrastructure, safety of pedestrians and community, as a “padre de familia” enhancing income, education, health and living conditions, entreprenuerial spirit, among others.

Alberto Abad, one of Rizal province’s industrious tricycle drivers and the grand winner of Pinoy Tsuper Hero Season 3, received a brand-new Suzuki Ertiga. The car is one of the prizes that this year’s outstanding driver took home together with an accumulated cash prize of P140,000, Phoenix fuel and lubricant products worth P50,000, a family accident insurance worth P1 million, and a Phoenix Petroleum watch.

Dubbed as the “Tsuper Disiplinado” of the province, Abad bested over 30,000 drivers from all over the country who joined the third season of the Pinoy Tsuper Hero contest, and was chosen due to his malasakit for his community and the riding public.

“I want to thank Alberto for being one of our ambassadors on safe driving. His contribution to his community is invaluable and we are lucky to have someone like him on the road who is keen on not only elevating the life of his family, but everyone he encounters on his trips as well,” said Phoenix Petroleum COO Henry Albert “Bong” Fadullon.

Abad also said these words of encouragement, “To my fellow drivers, let’s continue to stay proud of our job as it’s truly a rewarding and noble profession.”
